Aeropoxy Epoxy Laminating Resin BD1 300g Super-thin epoxy for wing skinning, laminating and moulding.
A free flowing, very slow curing, hard epoxy especially developed for applying glass cloth to wooden structures. Good wetting properties and sands back well with 'wet and dry' for a top class surface finish.300g pack covers approx 2m2 using 34g/m2 glass cloth
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
• Fill all cracks, gaps etc. before applying glass cloth.
• Cut out all cloth before mixing resin.
• Measure resin accurately and stir thoroughly, mixing only small batches at a time.
• Thin the first coat with methylated or methanol spirits to minimise weight and apply directly onto cloth.
• Check for missed areas and add more thinned resin.
• Aim to use each mixed batch within 15 minutes.
• Clean brush with methylated spirits after using each batch.
• Overlaps must be at least 2” wide.
• Work, and leave to cure, in a warm environment.
• Allow each coat 24 hours to cure.
• Apply second coat without thinning.
• Sand between coats with Wet n Dry
